Meet Dr. Parinda Parikh: Your Trusted Medical Doctor
Hello, I’m Dr. Parinda Parikh, a board-certified Medical Doctor with a wide range of clinical and administrative expertise. Specializing in diagnosing and treating mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic spectrum disorders, as well as eating and neurodevelopmental disorders, I bring a wealth of experience from diverse clinical settings. My approach to patient care is comprehensive and patient-centered, aiming to address the unique needs of each individual. With a solid commitment to education and community engagement, I am dedicated to contributing to efforts in tackling complex mental health issues.
Education and Training
My educational journey began with an undergraduate degree from Barry University in Miami, Florida. I then pursued my MD at Ross University. Following that, I completed my general psychiatry residency training at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Subsequently, I undertook a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the esteemed New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Payne Whitney Westchester Division. To further refine my complex psychopharmacology skills, I served as the Chief of the Eating Disorder Unit and On-Call Coordinator at White Plains, holding dual appointments at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Community Engagement
I am passionate about sharing my expertise with the community and have conducted seminars and workshops for schools and districts on addictions, mental health, and adolescent issues. Education and awareness are crucial to tackling these complex issues, and I am committed to contributing to these efforts.
Patient-Centered Approach
In my practice, I offer comprehensive care to individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. My integrative and holistic treatment approach combines psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy to address each patient’s unique needs. My clinical research endeavors have resulted in publications and book chapters covering various aspects of mental health.
In the pursuit of advanced treatment for conditions such as treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and others, I pioneered the introduction of ketamine and TMS to Westchester County in 2018. Since then, we have provided over eight thousand treatments to patients across the tri-state area.
Our approach to patient care is comprehensive and patient-centered, aiming to address the unique needs of each individual. We are dedicated to providing personalized care that considers the specific requirements of every patient.
